The Historical Society of Ocean Grove presents its Annual Auction of Antiques and Collectibles on Friday, September 2, 2011. The auction fever is building as the HSOG prepares for the event being held in the Youth Temple located right across the street from the Great Auditorium. The auction is scheduled to begin at 5 PM, with a preview beginning at 3 PM. There will be a 10% buyer premium and absentee bids are always welcome. An itemized Auction List is available for $3.00. Parking is free and refreshments will be available. This auction, of approximately 300 lots, provides a wide array of quality antiques and collectibles including Jersey Shore memorabilia from local towns such as Asbury Park and of course Ocean Grove. Many items are currently on display at the Museum of the Historical Society of Ocean Grove located at 50 Pitman Ave. For further information contact the Historical Society of Ocean Grove at 732.774.1869. The HSOG is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and preservation of the history of Ocean Grove and the Victorian architecture in the community. Events such as the Antiques and Collectibles Auction help to fund the various events and historic research sponsored by the HSOG. |
