The Historical Society of Ocean Grove is dedicated to conservation, education and preservation of the history of Ocean Grove, NJ both as a Coastal Jersey resort community and a Camp Meeting Site. The Society is also dedicated to educating the general public on the historic contributions made to the USA by the residents, visitors and governing bodies of Ocean Grove, on Victorian life and architecture, and on the restoration of the Victorian structures in the community. The Society is a non-profit organization which has received public grants from the NJ Historical Commission, the NJ Cultural Trust, and the Monmouth County Historical Commission.
Ocean Grove's historic tent village. There are 114 historic tent summer homes, the wait is 10+yrs to rent one for the summer.
The North End Hotel, 255 rooms and a saltwater pool, was Ocean Grove’s largest hotel. It was subsequently damaged by fire in 1970, then torn down in 1980.
